Tools: Perl and Shell Scripting, UNIX administration (Solaris and Red Hat Linux), Windows, Oracle and Sybase, Job schedulers, System monitoring. Work Description: Ability to work with business clients and IT developers on the following areas: - Identify, analyze, communicate, and resolve application, infrastructure, and environmental issues and problems - Work with Infrastructure and application development teams in coordination of changes (power down, moves, firewall changes -) - Participate in problem and change processes and procedures - System checkouts (start of day checkout, hand-over checkout, weekend checkout) - Assist in QA and UAT testing with clients - Scheduling of system processes and jobs based on business calendar and timetable - Set up and manage system monitor and alerts - Participate in Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Planning exercises and activities (testing, creating/updating DR BCP processes and procedures -) - Administer client application/market accounts Experience and skill sets: Good verbal and written communication skills are a must; ability to work under pressure and a fast-paced environment is essential; 5+ years of hands on experience in using 'Tools' listed above is required; ability to communicate and act professionally with IT staff and business clients is required; being able to work in a team oriented setting is a definite requirement; electronic trading experience is a huge plus.
