Responsibilities: - Strategic planning, functional management, deployment of client software and performance of mail migrations. - Development and coordination of training and service delivery for the Exchange messaging system. - Project management and implementation of the mail and messaging system (Microsoft Exchange) and domain architecture, with duties that include system design, implementation, upgrades, backup/recovery, security, virus protection, spam protection, system implementation performance monitoring, and problem solving for project execution in a large, 24X7 computing environment. - The environment currently consists of over 1000 email accounts at various locations and is expanding rapidly. PREFERRED SKILLS: - Demonstrated in-depth messaging systems and architecture expertise. - Significant experience with Advanced Exchange 2003, Active Directory, documentation and overall Windows OS skills. - At least five years experience as a Lead Microsoft Exchange administrator. - Preference will be given to individuals with at least three years experience administrating a clustered, high availability Exchange environment. - Experience in a large, geographically dispersed environment highly desired. - Full understanding of DNS, WINS, DHCP and LDAP compliant directories. - Outlook Web Access and Microsoft Outlook is necessary to perform duties required for this position. - Blackberry, Exchange 5.5/2000, GroupWise migration to Exchange 2000/2003. - In-depth knowledge in SMTP and e-mail archive solutions. - SAN and scripting experience a plus. - Self-motivated, drives to closure, results-oriented and detail oriented are all essential qualities of the ideal candidate. - A Bachelor's degree in a related IT field desired. * Please note that this is a night shift position, Monday - Friday 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. located in Metrotech, Brooklyn.
