The selected consultants will perform the following tasks:

The consultants primary responsibility will be to create project plans for, as well as program, develop, document and maintain, internet web-based applications for the central Departments websites using the Microsoft .Net framework. In addition, and under close supervision by Departments management, the consultant will perform project management tasks in the following areas:

Create and maintain dynamic, interactive web applications using the Microsoft .Net framework and Share Point 2006
Create and maintain related project documentation using Share Point and Microsoft Project 2000 management tools
External and interagency interfacing to gather project specs and requirements
QA applications in accordance with Departments web application standards

Experience Required
Design and develop multi-tier client server and web based application using advanced Microsoft .NET Architecture framework, including XML, ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET.
Extensive knowledge of web design, including HTML, CSS
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Design and implement Websites using Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) 2002, including setting up user permission for Active Directory users.
Design, develop and implement RDBMS Database using SQL Server. Also knowledge of creating and setting up middle tier (DTS Packages) for data downloads from main frame to SQL Server.
Develop and implement client and server validations using DHTML/Java Script and VB Script.
Implement security using the .NET Security Model and Active Directory for web applications.
Knowledge of application migration from classic ASP, VB, ActiveX, COM/DCOM, COM+ etc to .NET Architecture.
Knowledge of maintenance and administration of Visual Studio .Net, Visual Source Safe and Active Directory.
Knowledge of setting up Build process (compiled code, dlls) for deployment to various environments as well as SDO (Site deployment Object) migration from one environment to another.
Participate in all activities that comprise system development life cycle, including code walk-through and documentation.
Involved in Testing, Support and Client interactions for various business applications.
Microsoft Certified Solution Developer certificate helpful but not required
