Network Administrator / NOC Technician in Rochester, NY

Our client has an immediate need for a Network Administrator to assist in maintaining and supporting their IP Network. The responsibilities will include: ? Tracking software revisions ? Upgrading network wide system ? Working with engineering to test and turn-up new hardware/software ? Updating bugs from vendors ? Resolve hardware/software problems ? Assisting customers in turn-up of service and repair ? Troubleshooting over the phone ? Providing directions to field technicians during outage situations ? Completing hardware maintenances during off hours As a Network Administrator, you will be part of a on-call rotation. Experience: As an ideal candidate for this role, the following is required: ? Five or more years of experience in a data environment ? Extensive knowledge and practical experience in the use of the following routing protocols: MPLS, BGP and OSPF ? Extensive experience in the following areas: IP Subnetting; VPN; Network Design; Dial/DSL technologies; provisioning and troubleshooting with Cisco Routers (7200-12000 series), Cisco Switches (6500 series), PIX Firewall, Juniper Routers (M series), Juniper ERX, Juniper Netscreen Firewall ?
