I have been asked to identify ideally regionally local Independent Consultant Senior QA Analyst candidates with five plus years of quality assurance experience working on very large, complex QA projects preferably with a major financial institution, that span multiple software applications, working in capital markets ? Fixed Income preferred, testing trade/order processing applications with complete life cycle of a project including solid experience with Functional, Regression, Performance, Database, and Volume tests with Solaris / Linux / NT platforms, testing C++ / Java backend applications, familiarity with publish/subscribe message systems, intermediate skills in Shell/Perl scripting, Oracle RDBMS, Mercury QuickTest Pro / WinRunner to automate GUI applications and familiarity with Mercury LoadRunner for an initial six months long term renewable independent W2 contract in Midtown, New York City, New York. The selected ideally regionally local Independent Consultant Senior QA Analyst candidate will: -Participate in design meetings with the project team to analyze functional specifications. -Create, maintain and update test scripts, based on business requirements. -Research, evaluate and recommend new test tools and methodologies to improve the effectiveness and accuracy of quality assurance efforts. -Assess readiness and deviation of product/project performance based upon test results and product specifications. -Work with appropriate business and technology leads to determine the acceptable range for test results and performance. -Discover, track and verify defects ensuring that they are prioritized, scheduled, and resolved. -Communicating clear and accurate defect reports detailing software and functional issues based on testing results.
