DRAFTER IV (DESIGNER) EASTERN REGION
Serves as a Drafter IV (Designer) supporting the TSSC-III program in the Eastern Region located in Jamaica, NY. A background check by federal authorities will be performed.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will possess 8-10 years of experience and knowledge in the following:
*Develops moderately difficult to difficult working drawings utilizing Microstation V8 from equipment specifications and detailed drawings, ensuring that they meet company, FAA, and Industry Standards and Codes.
*Works closely with the civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical design team members while preparing drawings for fabrication, installation or construction.
*Performs dimensional and routine design calculations, working from calculations with minimal sketches and instructions.
*Checks drawings prepared by less experienced personnel for accuracy and adequacy.
*May coordinate with supplier and subcontractor drawings.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*Minimum of eight years drafting experience using both Microstation and AutoCAD in the development of civil, mechanical, structural and electrical drawings.
*The candidate will be versed in developing survey, contour, and electrical one-line diagrams with minimal direction from project engineer.
*Experienced with the conversion of Microstation Drawings to AutoCAD and from AutoCAD to Microstation.
*Prior experience with generation of drawings for FAA and Airport facilities is desirable.
*Experience using In-Roads and Microstation V8 would be a plus.
