SAP SD/CO/PS Revenue Recognition Implementer in New York, NY

SAP Modules Required: * Excellent in-depth technical knowledge of the CO and/or PS modules coupled with extensive hands-on experience of configuring and delivering project accounting. * Excellent understanding of the financial integration points between the logistics modules (SD and MM) and FI, CO, and PS. Beneficial: * Some prior configuration experience and familiarity with Resource Related Billing and CATS in 4.6C will be very helpful, as will some configuration experience in the SD, MM, and HR modules. Note that we do not use inventory. * Global implementation experience, particularly within a SAP COE will be a distinct advantage. * Prior experience of adapting SAP to a Service Sector environment (particularly professional services) would be definitely advantageous, as would some knowledge and experience of BW. * BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION Working as a Project Accounting Implementer in the SAP configuration team your responsibilities include: * Actively promote the global template approach within the organization * Prime responsibility for designing, developing, implementing and controlling the financial processes within the PS and CO modules areas of the COMPANY template to meet global and local legal/business requirements (ensuring all core business requirements for operations are maintained, new business needs are proactively supported, and new SAP functionality delivers business benefits) * Overall responsibility for the execution and control of all PS/CO financial aspects of Master Client configuration, and for comprehensive Regression testing before any changes are released to the Production environment * Liaise with other COE team members to maintain and apply coherent, optimised, integrated, and standardised processes * Prepare comprehensive documentation required according to methodology for all PS/CO financial aspects * Prepare formal ABAP specification documentation as required * Support the entire implementation effort during all project stages, ensuring that in areas of assigned responsibility milestones and related sign-offs are achieved on a timely basis and in accord with current project plan * Monitor progress of all financial PS/CO tasks against project plan * Actively promote the global template approach within the organization * Involvement in SAP R/3 demonstrations as required * Any other duties as directed by the Global Operations manager SPECIFIC SKILLS / EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED: * Absolute minimum 4 years hands-on CO and/or PS configuration experience. Experience with SD and/or MM configuration is a plus. * Completion of a minimum of 3 distinct SAP implementations as a member of the SAP Production team, with good exposure to the integration points with SAP Financial modules in at least 2 implementations * Global implementation experience, particularly within a SAP COE will be a distinct advantage * Persuasive and convincing advocate of the necessity for a centrally-owned template approach in a global implementation * Show initiative * Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines * Be prepared to travel as required SPECIFIC SKILLS / EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED: * Absolute minimum 4 years hands-on CO and/or PS configuration experience.
