One our of most prestigious and successful clients here in the Rochester area has contacted us with the goal of helping them to identify a seasoned Unix Systems Administrator.
This will be a contract-to-direct engagement, where by design it is our client's goal is to extend the successful candidate a direct offer of employment after they completed a four month contract period through our firm.
Our clients requirements mandate that the successful candidate possess a strong background in HP-UX version 11.11 (or higher), as well as a good background in RedHat Linux.
Overall responsibilities will include performing day-to-day Unix server administration tasks in a very large and complex enterprise environment.
Serious will be given to those candidates that possess:
1) Large company experience (200+ server environments)
2) Possess experience in HP Service Card and VMware
Additional consideration will be given to those that possess varying levels of experience in: Solaris, Apache, Tomcat, J2EE application servers (Weblogic, Wehsphere, JBoss), Oracle web/app's servers, LDAP, Novell - LDAP, open LDAP, Sun, Active Directory, Siteminder, eTrust software, iPlanet
Experience: * BS/MS degree in IT
* 5-7 years of Unix Systems Administration experience
* 2-3 years of HP-UX experience
* 1-2 years of RedHat Linux experience
* 1-2 years of HP Service Card and VMware
* Enterprise level server administration experience (environments of 100-200+ servers)
* Strong organizational skills
* Must enjoy working in a team environment
