Support of the file transfer mailbox UNIX Connect:Enterprise server infrastructure and Connect:Direct mainframe systems, along with network planning and development. Serve as team leader or project manager to provide consulting and analysis, selection, configuration, acquisition and installation of complex file transfer server infrastructure hardware and software. Coordinate and completes projects according to plan.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Assist in the analysis and evaluation of file transfer communications systems, hardware, software and server infrastructure.
2. Perform file transfer server infrastructure projects, such as: reviewing vendor supplied technical descriptions and performance data and pricing information for applicability to specifications; installing and configuring software; installing and implementing vendor packages; assessing user needs for file transfer systems; make recommendations for user’s file transfer requirements, file transfer system server infrastructure and standards.
3. Provide technical leadership and consultation to project team members as directed.
4. Assist in training and orientation of staff.
5. Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events.
6. Support the Company’s Diversity programs.
