Senior Network Support Analyst in Buffalo, NY

As the Senior Analyst Communications and Systems, you will be responsible to perform troubleshooting to identify, resolve, and provide root cause analysis of network related issues. Assist with implementing network LAN and WAN infrastructure and systems for small, regional, and large office and call center environments. Maintain current network device configurations and code level standards according to company best practices. Provide technical support leadership and consultation to project team members as directed. Assist in training and orientation of staff. Travel as required to support troubleshooting and project implementations. Provide off hours support on a rotational basis.

Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events. Complete other related duties as assigned, support the Company’s Diversity programs. Experience: This position requires an individual with:

* A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with major or minor in Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field.

* A minimum of four years experience in network communications field with demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and implementing network LAN and WAN infrastuctures.

. Proficiency in troubleshooting Cisco router and switch hardware platforms, TCP/IP, and industry standard routing protocols.

. Experience with packet capture and analysis products such as Network General Sniffer and nGenius NetScout probes preferred.

. Experience in utilizing industry standard network management tools such as eHealth, Openview NNM, and CiscoWorks preferred.

. Experience of working in a large geographically disbursed network environment.

. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

. Ability to work as part of an integrated team that is geographically dispersed, as well work independently as required.
