Web Project Manager in NEW YORK, NY

There are 2 phases to this engagement: 1. Assist with the Production and Preparation for site launch. 2. Post-launch site management and maintenance. Responsibilities: The Web Producer will be responsible for the daily operation the site requiring strong project management as well as some basic hands-on technical web production (Light HTML, Graphic Production.) Applicants must be motivated and display excellent organizational and problem solving skills and not be afraid to ?Dig-in? to get results. The Producer will closely with design, marketing, editorial and IT personnel to maintain the site and will be responsible for its operational integrity. The Producer is the online brand manager for their site(s) and effectively communicates the site?s needs and standards of operations to the business. Duties Include: Work with online editors and marketing to plan new content and features. Create and manage project production schedules. Source content from online editors, designers, third party partners and offline editorial. Work closely with Advertising to conceptualize and design effective ad strategies. Maintain site content and promotions via content management tools. Facilitate communication between advertising clients and print magazine production staff to create tie-in materials. Some HTML and Graphics production. Help generate weekly site traffic and status reports Provide support for mobile editors and experts to produce their content (audio, video, text) Skills/Qualifications: Intermediate HTML/DHTML skills. (2+ years) Familiarity with web analytics and advertising concepts. Experience managing a site using Content Management tools. (Vignette, Interwoven, etc.) Excellent communication skills Solid understanding of web production and development and the technologies involved. Adobe Photoshop (manipulate/resize/crop images ) Organized and results-oriented. Able to deal with ambiguity and identify the critical path in a project. 2+ years Experience with large-scale web sites. Familiarity with ?Web 2.0? technology and concepts. Bonus Skills: IT/Development background (Java, JSP, Javascript.) Editorial Skills Flash and Multimedia production skills Project Management Skills / Concepts.(PMO) Interactive agency experience Visual Design experience
