Need very good SQL writing skills, preferably in UDB DB2 but any other relational database is fine if the person shows exceptional understanding of how SQL works, how to write stored procs, how to design DB objects and how to troubleshoot and optimize queries.
Experience: - Informatica (ETL) and data modeling skills are a major plus but again, SQL skills are the most important requirement.
- Any batch skills (scripts, scheduling of jobs etc.) are additional plus.
- Three to five years of experience in data analysis and modeling, data mining and reporting, design, code, and implementation of OLAP and OLTP applications
- Strong knowledge of relational database techniques and design, SQL, Stored Procedures, and Triggers, preferably using UDB/DB2.
- Knowledge of OLAP/BI tool such as Microsoft SSAS (preferable), S-Base, etc.
- Hands on experience in building deployment scripts and applications performance tuning experience.
- Hands on experience with J2EE, CVS, Ant, AutoSys, Erwin (Reverse Engineering), Writing test cases, and delivering the quality of the code is a plus.
- Knowledge of ETL tools, especially Informatica Power Center, is a plus.
- Working knowledge experience in financial industry is a plus.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to multi-task and successfully execute complex application roll outs
- Sharp, quick, aggressive, and willingness to deal with business and system problem.
- Candidate should be able to diagnose problems quickly and independently.
- Candidate needs to have excellent communication skills and willingness to learn new technologies at his/her personal time.
