Description:
The main role of the Business Analyst - Data Modeler is to develop a Data Warehouse architecture that will support analyses of the key business processes. This involves understanding the analysis requirements of the business users and then leveraging all necessary transaction systems to build a data store that supports complex analyses.

Position Description:
1. COMMUNICATION
 Business Community - Meet with business users to understand their departments, roles and responsibilities, performance/goal measurement and data, reporting and analysis needs. Accurately document the meeting results including follow-up with business users to validate findings.
 Interdepartmental - Collaborate with Systems Engineers for data architecture development and with Business Analysts - Reporting for front-end analysis development
2. TECHNICAL EXECUTION
. Perform translation sequence of business requirements into data models:
o Business Requirements  Analytic Themes  Bus Matrix  Dimensional Model  Physical Model
. Analyze Source Systems to confirm availability of data for Business Requirements
. Work with Source System Experts to design data transfer processes
. Direct Systems Engineers in developing Extraction, Transformation & Load (ETL) processes, Physical Data Warehouse schema and SQL Server Analysis Services Cubes
 Develop Semantic Reporting Layer for SQL Server Reporting Services

Technical Skill Requirements:
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, SQL coding and data modeling abilities. The candidate will have been responsible for and had broad exposure to a wide variety of projects and technologies and be able to develop, maintain and lead multiple project initiatives. The candidate will have coordinated and communicated with third party vendors and participated in the Business Intelligence community. Requires a bachelor's degree or comparable work experience with at least 5-10 years of experience in the field.
