Senior Internet Engineer in NEW YORK, NY

We seek strong candidates for the Senior Internet Systems Engineer position. The position will be responsible for developing and supporting the continued growth all the company's external and internal web applications and sites. They are in the process of building their on-line business, so the responsibilities of the Senior Internet Systems Engineer are key. Interacting with business units, the Senior Internet Systems Engineer will be responsible for delivering efficient and robust solutions in a timely manner. The position will be responsible for clearly articulating internet and intranet related projects and will act as a consultant and subject matter expert for everything related to the company’s internet and intranet. • Establish robust architecture for future web infrastructure • Manage, administer, and maintain all internet and intranet sites • Plan and budget for web operations growth and needs • Clearly articulate internet and intranet related projects • Maintain internet and intranet sites for high availability (IIS and Apache) • Interface with different departments within the organization regarding new deployments • Act as point liaison with the IT Operations, QA, and Engineering teams when deploying new sites and applications • Develop, maintain, and report intranet metrics • Participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and selection of hardware and software solutions • Analyze hardware and software needs to resolve problems in the most efficient and timely manner Experience: • Bachelor’s degree • Strong experience managing the day-to-day operations of a mission-critical, client/customer-facing production website • 8+ years experience with IIS • 8 + years Experience in Windows System Administration and Active Directory. • 8+ years front-end integration experience working with development teams on the deployment of web based applications (Java, ASP, ASP.NET) • Project management experience with strong organization and planning skills • Strong problem solving ability • Proven ability to analyze web traffic patterns, usage, and abandon rates using web tools and application monitoring products • Proven understanding of web encryption technologies (SSL Certificates, https, etc.) • Strong experience working with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle) • Experience working with third party hosting companies • Experience meeting service level agreements (SLAs) which guarantee clients website availability • Strong written and verbal communication skills • E-Commerce experience desired send resume to: To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
