Job Description:
This role is for a Microsoft Windows user interface developer who will primarily be building and supporting applications involving the pricing of Mortgage Backend Securities and the presentation of related analytics for use by the trading desk and risk management.
Minimum Requirement:
Platforms: Microsoft Windows, 3+ years experience using Visual Studio .Net as a development experience.
GUI Systems: Extensive experience with C#. Exposure to forms or strong indication of an aptitude to learn these quickly.
Database Systems: Experience with Sybase including sometimes complex SQL and the use of programmatic API's.
Other Programming Skills: Good aesthetical graphical design sense. XML.
Business Knowledge: Knowledge of Mortgage backend securities including both security indenture information and pricing analytics terminology. Comfortable handling basic calculations, but "quant" type skills are not required. Demonstrated experience in another, complex fixed income market would be an acceptable substitute. Must be able to check numerical values and be confident in their work being correct.
Project Experience: Experience building complex, large-scale systems for sophisticated, demanding users. At least one case where the candidate was involved in the entire project life cycle for a large project, from start to finish. Willing to provide on-going support for deployed systems while working on enhancements and doing new development work.
Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communications. Requires the ability to determine what is appropriate for a giving audience and situation. Must be able to present complex information in a clear, understandable manner.
