Programmer/Analyst for FX Options

Location: Midtown, NYC

Total Comp: 180K/200K

Job Description:
The programmer/analyst will primarily focus on the systems used to support clients FX option trading desk. The candidate will be responsible for the support of all aspects of the DerivaTech system that is currently used for managing clients FX options portfolio. In addition, the desk is actively engaged in implementing a replacement product for DerivaTech. The candidate will participate actively of the implementation of this replacement system.
Must have a strong familiarity with Options, Involved with trading desks,communicate well. Not looking for Quants for this position.

Minimum Requirement:
Platforms: Solaris, Linux, Windows, Web
Database Systems: Sybase, SQL Server
Other Programming Skills: SQL Scripting (Perl)
Business Knowledge: 5 years required of working with Futures and Options on Futures in a Business Unit Support Capacity.
Understanding of market data technologies (Reuters, Bloomberg, Comstock)
Project Experience: 3 years Required of working on Trading Technologies in a Business Unit Support Capacity. Exposure to one other ISV (either GL, RTS, NyFIX, or Orc Software)
Working with Sungard GMI and/or GL Clearvision will be considered a major positive.
Communication Skills: Will be dealing directly with prop traders, sales desks, and Direct Market Access customers, Must have excellent written and verbal English skills
