Senior Security Policy Specialist in Brooklyn, NY

Serve as the chief information security officer's lead representative on the project team. Participate in, and in some cases lead risk assessment exercises and workshops with both functional and technical teams. Develop data classification scheme and integrate it into data governance process. Conduct gap analysis on current security policy and write any additional policies required to meet the need of this application. Communicate security policies to development and implementation teams and monitor policy compliance within the project team. Perform additional security duties as needed to supplement the team's activities. Experience: Experience performing policy gap analysis and writing security policies, preferably for a large organization (over 20,000 employees). . Experience conducting and documenting risk assessments, particularly surrounding large-scale applications, preferably on data warehouse and portal projects. . Experience developing data classification schemes and data governance policies. . Broad and deep knowledge of infrastructure, application, and data security . Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local information security and privacy regulations. . Very strong written and verbal communications skills and an ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences. .
