6 Months TTP DIDATA This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a Global IT Security Department. The position is fast paced, dynamic and challenging. It will be physically located within Brooklyn,NY and includes: Typical work week is 40 hours plus an additional two hours for training. Day-to-day support of the IT Security Hotline - a customer facing phone line for security issues Interpreting customer requests for all IT Security Products and Services (e.g. Firewalls, Kerberos, Top Secret, Security Alerts, Investigations, etc.) and direct calls to the appropriate area of the IT Security Team Day-to-day monitoring of the Firewall and Internet Perimeter related technologies (Cisco PIX, Gauntlet, BrightMail, TrendMicro,etc). The monitoring environment will grow into other areas over time. Initial troubleshooting of possible network connectivity problems Outage confirmation, initial triage and escalation Pre-staging or processing simple MACs across the infrastructure Supplement existing, or develop documentation as the environment is modified Creation/supplementation of Operational Runbooks The candidate must be a self-starter but must recognize the importance and value of working as a member of an operations support team. Experience in customer support and experience in interacting with business units Excellent customer facing skills The position requires customer support experience and interacting with service members of the networking, e-business, Experience: Knowledge of networking (e.g. OSI layers + functions + devices) Knowledge of IP protocols (e.g. DNS, TCP, UDP, ARP, well known ports) Unix Systems administration experience. Experience in Firewall security devices (Checkpoint, PIX, Cisco CSS, Netscreen) Experience in writing Cisco ACLs Knowledge of Solaris, OS390, Kerberos, SOCKS, VPN, BIND, SAS Experience working with Cisco PIX configuration and expert in PIX troubleshooting Experience working with Cisco LocalDirector configuration and expert in LocalDirector troubleshooting Perl and UNIX shell programming experience. Active interest in IT Security. Possess proven track record of success in Operations Center Ability to deliver detailed and timely communications to internal and external parties during an outage Basic knowledge of Information Security UNIX, and PC groups in four major metropolitan regions across the globe.
