REPORTS TO: Cost Control Analyst – Creative Business Office
Job Overview:
Major high end retail company seeks cost control analyst for their Creative Business Office. The individual will be responsible for coordinating all reverse auction activity for the division. Other responsibilities include providing recommendations for reporting and identifying opportunities for those events/items that should participate in this program.
Core Job Responsibilities:
• Review work center detail in order to develop list of potential auctions
• Work with pyramid heads or designates to review suggested auctions
• Create specs, recommended vendor list and details for each auction
• Manage reverse auction calendar
• Post and schedule auctions
• Train prospective auction vendors on current auction PC site
• Run and manage each scheduled auction
• Upon completion of auction, follow-up with vendor for cost breakdown information
• Once cost information received from vendor, meet with pyramid head designate to review and award bid
• Contact vendor to award project
• Track bid day savings vs. awarded savings
• RA Report and bid analysis performed and distributed weekly
• Ensure adherence to FDS Purchasing Exception To Bid Policy
• Develop aggregation opportunities with FDS Purchasing
• Meet quarterly with pyramid heads to review pending issues and additional ideas
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
• Accounting background
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in Windows, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Strong analytical skills
• Aggressive attitude in seeking opportunities for program
• Professional demeanor and ability to collaborate with pyramid heads/designates
• Ability to interact with Senior Management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Ability to work independently
• Must be a team player
