Join Our Worldwide Family Today! ****Please review the following extraordinary opportunity for a Manufacturing Systems Analyst at our world headquarters in Buffalo, NY and apply directly to www.richs.com/careers *****The Manufacturing Systems Analyst has responsibility for operating, maintaining, and enhancing existing manufacturing systems across the North American group to support operational excellence initiatives in the areas of manufacturing efficiency, quality, food safety, and associate safety. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides support for manufacturing systems containing pre-packaged software which may contain custom applications, small databases, servers, diverse client platforms, and network infrastructure. Supports interfaces to plant automation devices as well as ERP systems. Primary support for problem determination, troubleshooting and resolution, includes coordinating support from 3rd-party service providers and internal technical services. Develops and manages System Life Cycle execution plans for manufacturing systems within areas of responsibility including; application patches, upgrades, and security updates. Coordinates with Corporate Information Systems Team Members to implement server and network upgrades Coordinates with plant technicians to ensure plant floor automation devices remain patched and maintained Develops high level testing plans for integration and system testing in order to identify potential defects and minimize problems within the application after it is implemented. Continuously monitors performance of manufacturing systems in order to ensure return of investment to the business. Continues to lead, coach, mentor, and train plant Associates on the use of the systems to maximize the systems effectiveness. Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of small to medium projects. Ensures assigned projects are completed in accordance with established timelines, budgets and quality expectations. Performs all start-up/planning, execution and closedown activities of the project. Coordinate activities of internal and external system integrators and programmers to ensure productivity, proper direction, and adherence to standards for project related activities. Consults with Supply Chain Operations, Corporate Engineering, and manufacturing Associates to determine business needs, identify system requirements, and foster strong customer relations within areas of responsibility. Develop training plans to ensure effective use of designed systems by users and fellow IS Associates. Support local customers in developing business cases for projects. Experience: YOUR INGREDIENTS: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience and a minimum of five (5) years of experience with Manufacturing Systems is required. Basic knowledge of Network Operating Systems (Intel) including hardware/software/operating systems, telecommunications (LAN/WAN/IP), personal computing hardware/software (operating system and applications), and security is required. Comprehensive knowledge of food manufacturing plant operations, applications, and automation technologies. Experience administrating and enhancing MES and SCADA systems, preferably with Wonderware's Archestra or Rockwell Automation's suite of products. Experience supporting manufacturing transactional systems and associated interfaces, including, but not limited to, centralized maintenance management systems (Maximo and/or MP2) and analytical and quality assurance systems (Infinity QS, Bradley Ward, and/or Wonderware's QI Analyst). Familiarity with Allen Bradley Control Logix and SLC 500 PLC's, Panel Views, and intelligent plant floor automation devices. Knowledge of PLC programming concepts, and Visual Basic/VBA and/or scripting languages a plus. Understanding and application of Project Management methods and techniques relevant to the position. Ability to derive and communicate technical and business process requirements to management, team members, and users. Ability to develop training documentation and conduct effective end user classes. Proficient with Windows 2003 server, fat and thin client platforms, Ethernet & general networking concepts, and general understanding of Active Directory and domain security.
