. Linux System Administration
. Application installation such as Tomcat, Apache, and proprietary software
. Daily operational support such as troubleshooting production issues, and internal systems.
. Provide assistance to Internal Systems in maintaining windows servers
. Heavily involved with fine tuning of our systems.
. Will be on a rotational on-call rota with some weekend work.
Experience: Basic Qualifications:
. Bachelors degree in Computer Science/related discipline or the equivalent in education and experience.
. 2-4 years Linux/Unix system administration experience (RedHat Specifically)
. Ability to lift 50 pounds (servers installation)
. Solid understanding of DNS (Bind 9), Apache/Tomcat.
. Basic understanding of network protocols.
Additional skills a plus:
. Understanding of FIX protocol
. Clustering such as Veritas Clustering Services or Linux Clustering Services
. SAN solutions such as NetApp, HP EVA's or EMC
. Understanding of Virtualization products such as VMware, or Xen.
. Any certifications such as RHCE, NCSE, and/or LPI Level I & II
