KEY SKILLS:
Extensive C++, .NET and ASP development experience in a Front Office environment. The developer for this role needs to have worked with the Front Office and/or Trading Floors.
Work Experience/Background:
Hands-on extensive experience with messaging (MQ, JMS, EMS) systems and UNIX/Linux/Windows.
Extensive .NET, ASP, HTML, DHTML, XML, XSLT, CSS, SOAP with C/C++/C#/VC++/Jscript/Visual Basic/Scripting experience on both the client and server-side VC++/VC# XML middleware and web servers, integrated by use of COM/STL and multi-thread environment, to work within these various layers to implement required solutions.
Must have at least 5-7 years experience as a Developer/Analyst in medium to large scale projects developing multi-tier web and/or windows applications in financial industry.
Innovative, self-motivated, delivery focused and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills with peers and users.
Able to work individually and across globally diversified virtual technology teams.
Extensive experience in relational database systems like SQL Server/Sybase/Oraclie/DB2 Relational Database Design; well versed in SQL* Plus, PL/SQL and Store Procedures with various data sources.
At least five years experience in front office systems development with hands-on experience developing and supporting trading systems at a top tier investment bank or hedge fund
General understanding of trading mechanics and market structure for multiple asset classes: equities, fixed income, and derivatives
Familiarity with Transactional costs of various securities, Trade Capture, Exception Handling, and Rate Calculations, Invoice matching, Adjustments and Postings.
Must be willing to travel as necessary.
Desirable Skills:
Enterprise Trade Processing experience.
Exposure to Transactional Expense Calculations.
Ability to carry out adaptive changes necessitated by changes in Business Requirements, source systems and technology.
Display sound analytical, problem solving, presentation and inter-personal skills to handle various critical situations.
Must have a clear understanding of client-server applications, a strong background in object oriented analysis and design.
Must have analyzed, designed, developed and unit tested multi-tier client server applications.
Must have been exposed to full SDLC cycle.
Must be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
