A privately held technology company based in Stony Brook New York looking for a stellar developer!

We develop and commercialize software solutions that make it easier for users to access, manage, and extract meaning from unstructured information. Our intelligent applications utilize a unique combination of ontology-based technologies for semantic reasoning, automated software agents, as well as statistical and rule-based algorithms. This enables our solutions to autonomously transform unstructured data into information that is rich, structured, precise and timely; we call this Coherent Data

We have an excellent opportunity available for a Java Programmer.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, code, document, test and deploy software and web-based applications
- Create or contribute to specifications for design and functionality
- Develop and maintain application and user documentation
- Provide support and training to customers and end users
- Work with others on the Engineering team to test and document product features and to diagnose and fix customer reported product issues
Experience: Technical Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, MS a plus
- 2-3 years real world experience in software design, development, and testing
- Experienced in Java, JSP, Struts, Spring, Hibernate
- Experience with SQL scripting; Knowledge of SQL Server is a plus
- Strong data analytical skills
- Strong familiarity with software development concepts, lifecycles, procedures, and practices
- Experienced with object oriented analysis and design
- Knowledge of Prolog is a plus
- Knowledge of logic programming, artificial intelligence, knowledge discovery, data mining, probabilistic reasoning, neural networks, Bayesian inference, pattern recognition, data analysis, natural language systems, software agents, or semantic web ontology technologies is a plus

Additional Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team
- Ability in coordinating activities, analytical reasoning, logical problem solving, and establishing priorities
- Strong decision making capabilities
