Our client is looking for a Migration Project Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Scope of position:

As Thomson Reuters moves forward to rationalize product lines, so as to achieve synergy savings and ensure clients receive the best of breed platforms, the integration activity creates the need to migrate clients off the legacy onto the strategic platforms. This role requires a combination of product & project management skills to facilitate migrations end-to-end, from understanding the product & customer base, supporting sales in advising on the "right" Thomson ONE workflow solution, facilitating orders through customer administration, monitoring & tracking progress, supporting finance-related queries.



Main Responsibilities:

1. Drive migrations forward by gathering domain knowledge to assess areas of need. Bridge gaps through creating structure so that needs can be met by appropriate groups.

2. Support Sales & Product in navigating the business, aligning system outputs and achieving cross-group deliverables.

3. Manage client lists, mailing lists, migration progress, revenue changes

4. Influence prioritization of client migrations based on division needs

5. Facilitate ancillary opportunities to improve operating margins through vendor reduction, consolidation of components within the platform, pricing model alignment, etc.

6. Consolidate & submit/track requirements to product & content teams based on business needs of migration clients.


Required Skills:

.BA/BS required, in addition to a minimum of 10-15 years experience with product/project management and the software development process

.Expertise in the financial industry, capital markets, ideally real-time market data products - quotes, news, charts

.Strong leadership skills; proven analysis, organizational and communication skills.

.Ability to manage cross functional teams and motivate teams to deliver quality results under aggressive timelines

.Ability to interact with clients to understand both their business and technical needs.

.Ability to develop and facilitate senior management level presentations


Desired Skill Set:

Ability to get up to speed quickly and work both independently and with cross functional teams across the business to migrate users from one product to another.
