QA Analyst in NEW YORK, NY

Robert Half Technology is currently recruiting for QA Engineer to help maintain and manage its online content creation system. As QA Engineer, you will validate and test new functionality, as well as run the production servers. Primary responsibilities include manual and automated testing, code builds and rollouts, user administration and user support. Secondary responsibilities include new hardware installation, network administration, usage tracking, and other associated tasks.

You will be working with the latest Microsoft technologies running on hosted servers. You will be a key member in a small, experienced, highly motivated and successful team.

Ideal Candidate Skills
An ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge of QA process end-to-end right up until release to production
Bug tracking experience
Browser knowledge (i.e. Firefox vs IE vs Safari,etc)
Windows/MAC based testing (should know difference between Windows XP, Server, Vista, OSX, etc)
Some experience with latest Microsoft web technologies (IIS 5.0/6.0 as well)
Familiarity w/ latest .NET environment (old 1.1/2.0 as well)
Strong communication skills (interaction w/ customers and clients is expected)
Documentation skills (i.e. how to replicate a bug and convey it to a developer)
"Nothing is perfect" attitude towards testing or "test to break" mentality
Flexibility to travel to Melville, Long Island headquarters for team meetings


Not required but very desirable:
Web Load testing experience w/ Rational, Mercury, Empirix, Remedy, etc Testing Suites
„X Adobe Flash 7/8/9.0 testing
„X Flash Regression/Unit testing
„X Release Management experience
„X Version Source Control
„X Nant scripting (other forms of scripting perl,etc)
„X Automation for QA to help w/ UAT
