CDI has an opening for an object-oriented programmer. Our client is seeking a contract object-oriented programmer. Candidates must be detail oriented, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and have a proven track record of excellence. The position requires someone capable of planning and implementing dynamic database-driven web sites and expanding the functionality of existing sites.
Requirements:
Strong understanding and experience with structured C-style programming (C, C++, C#, etc.)
Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented programming, design, and implementation.
Knowledge of database design and interaction.
Commitment to excellence and attention to detail
Ability to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines
Ability to work in a team environment and independently
Ability to work responsively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with changing customer needs
The following skills and experience are considered a positive but are not required:
Visual Basic and .NET experience
Experience with application development in a LAMP environment
Knowledge and experience with Javascript
Knowledge and experience with Ajax
Knowledge or experience with XML
Knowledge or experience with CSS
A qualified candidate should have one of the following:
A Bachelors Degree in computer science or a related field and 1 year of experience with Object Oriented programming
An Associates Degree in computer science or a related field and 3 years of experience with Object Oriented programming
A High School Diploma and 5 years of experience with Object Oriented programming
