We are also a leading provider of reference and trade publishing for the medical, business, engineering and other professions.The Website Security & Anti-Piracy Specialist will monitor, track, and process for removal unauthorized infringing copies of MH content being promoted, sold and or distributed on third party web sites and assist Legal Department in gathering information and documents for prosecuting piracy of MH content.Responsibilities:·Monitor existing websites (i.e., eBay, Craigslist, Scribd -- Amazon, AbeBooks, RapidShare (peer-to-peer), etc. for unauthorized copies of MH content being sold or otherwise distributed and unauthorized foreign editions of MH textbooks being sold; Identify new and emerging sites ·Identify MH product (print & digital) (domestic & international) for removal ·Process take-down requests to infringing sites directly or through MH outside resources and maintain record of take-downs and ensures completion ·Design and construct database of identified infringements sites and track activities ·Document & distribute monthly activity reports to MH Legal, HIP Executive & Management team; Collect & distribute to MH Legal all documents for potential legal action or potential litigation, and maintain records of document status ·Execute test buys of infringing MH content online on request of Legal Department or MHE personnel or on independent determination, and maintain documentation of records relating to the test buys ·Foster & maintain relationships and communication with editorial, marketing, and sales personnel to act upon selected reported infringements; Communicate with anti-piracy personnel at other publishers to share appropriate information relating to enforcement efforts ·Develop full knowledge base of MH product & selected support tools (MPD, eSales, MESA) ·Provide support for search & gathering copyright registration certificates in assisting with litigations ·Execute take down procedures-upon identifying infringer, employee must be empowered to take action based on investigation ·Establishing priorities-need to decide which investigative results can and will be handled routinely without management interaction·Bachelor's degree required ·Two years experience navigation web applications ·High level knowledge of website mechanics ·Functional knowledge and competencies to utilized Microsoft Office Tools (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, etc. ·Detail oriented and organized to insure accuracy and completeness of investigations and complete records of enforcement effortsMcGraw-Hill Education: Where the World Learns to Succeed.
