Provides hands-on information technology support to attorneys and paralegals involved in paper and electronic intensive litigation. Oversees comprehensive, day-to-day technical support activities on individual matters.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: . Broad knowledge of Litigation Support document management methods and software. . Knowledge of project management methodology, analysis, and process design; oversees, coordinates and tracks daily project progress from project and workflow inception through project completion. . Coordinates with the case team and the litigation support vendors: RFP's and responses, project specifications, budgets, procedures and processes for technology projects, technical specifications. . Experience with applications used in litigation support such as: Concordance, Summation, CaseSoft Suite (CaseMap, Time Map, NoteMap), LiveNote, various image viewers (IPRO, Opticon) MS Access, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat. . Provides secondary technical support to case team members on software applications. . Knowledge and experience with electronic discovery and electronic file processing; working knowledge of ASP's, Extranets, Internet based repositories, Iconect. . Coordinates litigation support application training and advises case team members on the efficient and appropriate utilization of software applications. . Coordinates and assists in development of in-house database coding (data entry) procedures and documentation; assists with data entry training; works with case team in proper QC procedures. . Coordinates and assists with database administrative functions associated with implementation of an application such as database design and data quality control. . Responsible for content Quality Control of vendor data and coordinating data corrections.COMMENTS: A minimum of five years experience with a law firm or corporate legal department providing information technology support or equivalent time with a vendor as a project manager. Must have worked on several large cases managing technology projects. In addition, must be knowledgeable of the discovery process and of the implications of electronic discovery, as well as current technologies and their applications in a law firm environment. Solid litigation paralegal and computer science background preferred; ability to meet deadlines, handle sensitive matters, organize and prioritize work with minimal direct supervision; effective communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of personnel; excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills; and the ability to confidently exercise independent judgments.
