A local government agency is assembling the implementation team for an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) product. The Project Manager will coordinate the activities of the ESB team and work with various development teams striving for the highest level of adoption for the new middleware technology. The PM will be assisted by technical architects in the ESB team when defining the implementation project plan.

The Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

* Driving the project through all stages of the implementation, functional design through production release, testing, training and technology adoption
* Ensuring the solutions recommended, designed, programmed, tested and implemented maximize the capacity of the Department resources
* Managing all aspects of the project adhering to the time schedule and budget constraints established including the contractual management of any vendors participating on the project
* Ensuring the proper and timely integration with existing systems and processes along with the proper notification and utilization of Operational and Infrastructure resources.
* Track project cost estimates and plans and work with the Finance and Budget office
* Ensure all stakeholders, sponsors and steering and working committees receive regular and appropriate communications on project status

Experience: REQUIREMENTS

Project Management:

* 10 + years of progressive industry experience
* Proven Track Record in the implementation of large scale technology implementation and adoption
* Extensive Project Management Experience using established project management principles, best practices, techniques, and tools
* Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals
* Analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions
* Establish priorities
* Organize resources
* Ability to develop project budgets and projections throughout an implementation process/cycle
* Ability to communicate effectively
* In English, both written and orally
* In a credible and confident manner at all levels in the organization
* Especially on technical issues to an education audience
* Ability to provide inspirational leadership, and effectively resolve process blocks, conflicts etc.

Industry / Technical Knowledge:

* Ability to understand and anticipate key technology and business issues surrounding implementation of a complex middleware technology
