Experience: We are currently seeking a consultant to work through the end of the year at our client. This Consultant will be involved in the configuration of PCs and Laptops, problem ticket resolution, and problem tracking using the Remedy system. The Contractor will be supporting clients for all PC related issues. Heavy manual labor will be required, e.g., moving and installing PCs, monitors, printers, etc. The Consultant will be responsible to the Desktop Support supervision for their daily work. The Consultant will be responsible for all Desktop Support related work within their assigned zone, or as supervision directs. Some work on weekends/ holidays/ after hours may be required in special instances. Workdays may be extended to meet special needs of the client''s or as supervision directs.
Technical Qualifications:
Strong PC experience, including: 1st and 2nd level desk side support, Desktop/OS migration and rollout in a Corporate environment, Windows XP/2000/NT, Microsoft Office XP/2003 Professional, Installing of Peripherals, Installing of Shrink-wrap software, Laptops, Desktops, Networking (Ethernet) , Printers.
Non-technical Qualifications: Ability to deal with people effectively, Effective communication skills (written and verbal) required to deal with clients and team members, Team player, Strong analytical skills for resolving technical problems, Willingness to work unsupervised, Able to deal with stressful situations.
