The client application development/test infrastructure consists of AIX, Solaris, Tru64, and SUSE platforms. The infrastructure includes 84 logical and 17 physical UNIX servers and supports the clients SOA initiatives, UISIM, People Soft, and xPressions. The client does not have. sufficient staff to support this infrastructure and the third party software that is currently being implemented and supported. Client is requesting the services of an AIX Administrator with the' necessary skills to support this infrastructure and implementation of these applications. This Systems Administrator will require a working knowledge of operating systems. and .experience with IDM's Advanced Power Virtualization. Besides operating systems knowledge we will require that this Systems Administrator has experience with WebSphere Application Server configuration and administration, PeopleSoft, and xPressions. .
Experience: MANDATORY Requirements
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years combined experience with AIX, WebSphere Application Server, and Tivoli Storage Manager.
DESIRABLE Experience
AIX 6.1 systems administration experience including installation of operating system and software products, software configuration, and problem determination
IBM Power VM experience including setup and management of VIO partitions and performance tuning on IBM hardware specifically 9117-570, 9113-561.
WebSphere Application Server 6.1 administration, configuration, problem determination, and scripting experience.
IBM HACMP (High Availability Cluster Multi processing) administration, configuration, problem determination, and experience
IBM Tivoli Storage manager experience Version 5+ minimum 4 years experience.
IBM Certified Specialist eServer p5 and pSeries Administration and Support for AIX 5L V5.3 Certification.
IBM Certified HACMP Expert.
Enterprise infrastructure operational planning, including hardware lifecycle planning.
