Position: POS Technicians
Location: New York 11101 (all boroughs) - Public schools k-8
Part time - Hourly 14 an hour
Training is provided
Must have clean criminal background -drug test rerequired
S-L will do in person interviews at Long Island City the week of January 8th. .
Job Summary-
Candidates will either be taking photos or working as POS specialists on go lives or both.
Job Purpose Statement:
To support and train during Point of Service (POS) system go-live days; evaluate POS operator skills and assess requirement for additional training; captures student security ID photos for use in the POS system.
Provide the Project Manager a daily assessment of system use by the cafeteria manager and POS operators. Provide recommendations for improvement if necessary
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
" Must have a basic understanding of Windows XP Professional
" Must have a basic understanding of Windows networking
" Excellent verbal communication skills
" Must have complete understanding of manager POS processes
" Must have complete understanding of POS operator processes for all types of schools and serving lines
" Must be proficient in the use of SL-Tech POS hardware
" Must have good problem solving skills and analytical skills
" Good listening skills
" Team player
" Consistent focus on customer success and support
" Detail oriented
" Highly organized
" Ability to work in environments with children
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
" Professional attire is required
" Fluent English - Required
" Must have reliable transportation
" Must be patient and tolerant
" Ability to work well with staff with little or no experience
