Our client in Cortland is seeking a Business Analyst. The Business Analyst will serve as the primary liaison between business unit representatives and the corporate IT department, effectively communicating business unit interests to IT staff and, conversely, IT technical issues to business unit team members. In addition, the Business Analyst will coordinate outside vendor issues and develop clear and concise guidelines for acceptable vendor performance. This position will be accountable for application design, analysis, deliverables, and piloting and will write effective technical documentation, test scripts, and end user training documents.
Experience: Qualified candidates must possess a Business degree with 5 years experience in a similar role. Must be able to read, interpret, and apply knowledge gained from technical documentation and journals and effectively present information to others. Must possess a solid technical background in systems and database design and understand relational database concepts. SQL and software development background is helpful.
