We have an immediate need for a Fiber Optics Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
To perform visual audits of fiber optics installations (random samples) to insure that they are in compliance with outlined criteria. Technician will complete an assigned checklist and take a picture of the fiber optics installations to be included in a report after the project ends.
Geographic Scope: Upstate New York, including Albany, Buffalo, and the southern tier (Pennsylvania/NY border); must be thoroughly familiar with this area
Work Scope: 2-3 month project; approximately 40 hours per week
Project Start Date: Second week in July through August, 2009
Qualifications:
Worked as a telephone installer for urban, sub-urban and rural areas of upstate New York
Minimum of 5 years of practical telephone installation experience, preferably with fiber optics
