JOB DESCRIPTION
z/OS /JCL / RACF Computer Professionals in Hopewell Junction, NY
Support problem and change tickets for client server support operations for work involving problem determination and implementation of changes to z/OS operating system associated software. The work consists of performing primarily routine and standardized sets of tasks. The work may involve a series of repeatable tasks and steps that are followed when addressing service needs or situations for a particular account. Participate daily in cadence discussion on team performance. Discuss issues or challenges, and receive trouble-shooting input /advice from other team members. Implement z/OS related simple OEM product upgrades without assistance.
Implement z/OS simple security compliance corrections without assistance. Run z/OS test cases and analyze results without assistance. Debug JCL errors and syslog error messages without assistance
Required skills:
Basic knowledge of the following: zSeries architecture, z/OS operating system, IBM and ISV product support, SMP/E, RACF. Basic knowledge of the following: installing, customizing, troubleshooting, and testing z/OS operating system and software. At least 1 year experience in z/OS support. Strong team player. Good communication skills, fluent in English.
First Shift contract assignment, some on call and week end coverage will be required.
