Genesis10 is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst for a major client located in NYC on a contract basis. As the QA Analyst, you will operate as a spokesperson for requirement analysis and interact with product development to gather and manage the requirements for end-user functionality. Additionally, create test requirements using industry standards and best practices for software development life cycle.
Experience should be more in Use Case usage, Requisite Pro knowledge and manual test case writing background. We are not necessarily looking for someone with an automated testing technical background, rather someone with analytical capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with product development staff to build an understanding of the varied and complex business functionality supported by the system.
- Write test requirements following the use case methodology.
- Define, manage and review the test requirements for multiple projects.
- Develop, provide and coordinate training on test methodology.
- Participate in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends and best practices in order to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge.
- Develop effective relationships within and among departments and with other internal resources.
Experience: Required Skills/Experience:
- 2 years of recent experience writing test requirements, following the use case methodology.
- Experience with Windows and Web based application development.
- Experience with UML.
- Must possess organizational and strong communications skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to develop effective relationships within and among departments and with other internal resources.
- Must be a team player.
- Must possess a positive attitude and be confident.
- Minimum of 2-5 years experience with application development.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Presentation and training skills a plus.
- Experience with Rational Rose a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering preferred.
- General advertising knowledge or experience a plus.
