Our client is a high-visibility television production company seeking an applications developer to create and maintain systems to support the organization's business functions. This role will work closely with users to complete the analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation of those systems. Responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining architecturally sound, modular, component-driven applications Driving the analysis and design of software systems by shaping system requirements and developing analysis-level documents that reflect the requirements Demonstrating leadership capabilities by providing direction to and mentoring for less experienced members of the staff Maintaining system and design documentation, and preparing materials for project reviews Implementation, UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and production release phases of project Adhering to company software development life-cycle processes and documentation of business processes and systems Serving as point of contact between IT and clients, and between groups within IT Experience: 3+ years Java development experience (design and coding) 1+ years Spring/Hibernate experience 2+years SQL and entity relationship modeling (Oracle Preferred) experience 2+years Application Server (WebLogic preferred) experience 1+years Web Frameworks, JSP or, Swing (Spring Webflows preferred) experience Some experience with Ant / Ant Maker / CVS 1+years IDE experience 1+years Rose (or some UML tool) experience Self starter with the ability to multi-task and assess priority Strong ability to adapt to evolving business needs Experience in analysis, design and development (coding) of client/server business applications Strong understanding of standard software development lifecycle methodologies Strong understanding of all aspects of corporate software development; strong client, server, database, and reporting skills Knowledge of and experience with Analysis and Design Patterns Experience using UML (Unified Modeling Language) Experience in making presentations, with the proven ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively Experience in data migration between systems and work flows a plus Experience with entertainment-oriented business systems a plus *This position is open to U.S. Citizens or permanent residents/green cards.* To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
