Job Description- Job Admin AnalystLocation - NYC (midtown)Duration - 12 to 18+ months consulting Work ScheduleThis is a 36 hour work week that will rotate every 4 weeks from Sunday-Tuesday DAYS to Sunday Tuesday NIGHTS The Job Admin Analyst will perform Tier 1 production support for FMS/3 supported production Applications as well as Tier 1 support for the FMS/2 Budget support. Said applications comprise a UNIX and IBM Mainframe platforms. As a results of FMS/3-PIP; IFA; OTPS and VENDEX, and the upcoming CWA, (City Wide Accounting Conversion) needs in various aspects of its implementation, such as additional Jobs Creations on the Mainframe and as well as on the UNIX side, the Applications requires the creations and monitoring of a high volume of new Jobs and Flows as determined by the predecessor/successor relationship between FMS/2, PIP, IFA, OTPS and VENDEX. This requires new knowledge such as understanding the interaction between the IBM Mainframe and the various AIX Servers. The candidate must possess in dept knowledge of the IBM Mainframe, z/OS Processes, such as JCL; PROCS; working knowledge of ISPF; CA-Scheduling technique and equal knowledge of the UNIX Shell Scripting and debugging capabilities. He/She will support and help process batch jobs streams via the CA-Scheduler, and must understand and be able to verify jobs condition codes for validations. The candidate must be able to interact with all support groups in abends debugging and problems resolutions. Must differentiate between processing environments and support Development Teams in the testing of various integrated batch Job Streams; support/move scripts and programs into the production Servers and assist with troubleshooting. Essential SkillsIn depth knowledge of the CA-Scheduler Products, including CA-Scheduler; CA-Agent and CA-Adapter, and IBM Mainframe z/OS. In dept knowledgeable of the AIX Operating systems like Oracle; Full knowledge of Schell Scripting andable to functions as a level 1 support for both Mainframe and AIX environments in problems determinations and resolutions preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:R-Strong diagnostic and problem solving skillsR-Be able to schedule and process refreshes of AIX environments as requested.R-Be able to process Applications Job Flows and monitor its batch jobs cc codes.R-Ability to plan, manage and work independently with minimal direction.P- Be able to interact with support groups in solving Applications abends. Experience:R-3 year experience working on AIX/Unix platform performing activities involving setting up or running batch processes/cycle flows and perform level 1 support.P-3 years experience working on a Mainframe platform performing activities involving setting up or running batch processes/cycle flows and perform Level 1 support.R-5 years of experience with hands-on work with executing and performing preliminary troubleshooting activities involving: Unix Oracle and Shell Scripting as well as Mainframe Cobol programs; scheduler; batch processes and cycle flows.
