Database Administrator in Somers, NY

DESCRIPTION:The Database Administrator will administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database. The Consultant will implement data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes. He/she will resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.The candidate will identify data sources, construct data decomposition diagrams, provide data flow diagrams and document the process. The incumbent will write codes for database access, modifications, and/or include stored procedures.The position requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. The candidate will review, evaluate, design, implement and maintain company databases. He/she must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. The incumbent will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
