Description: Client's Global Cash Equities division is looking to hire a consultant, specialized in cross-platform C++ development in New York City. You will work with a team of developers in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in design, analysis, and development of our high performance market data distribution infrastructure in both US Domestic and International Markets. Key Requirements: " Expert level of knowledge of C++ in a cross-platform development environment (Linux and Window). " 6+ years of object-oriented design and development experience with strong knowledge of design patterns. " In depth knowledge of networking (TCP/IP), multithreading, exception handling, and Linux internals. Additional Desirable Skill Sets: " Experience in design and implementation of low latency and high throughput messaging systems " Knowledge of C++ template and STL is also required. " Prior experience with Wombat API is required. " Prior knowledge of third party message systems, such as LBM, OpenSplice DDS, and IBM LLM, is preferred. " Knowledge of Window internals is a plus " Microsoft SQL Server experience is a plus " Needs to be able to excel in a rapid paced environment where requirements and priorities change continuously.
