Salary: Hourly Rate based on experience
Type: Contract .... 6+ months with extension

Responsibilities



Company is currently looking for someone who can maintain, administer and build databases and data structures. Do performance tuning, data migrations, back ups and recoveries- on and off line- (and writing the recovery strategy). Create objects, schemas, users, tables, views, indexes and clusters. Implement the database. Perform data migrations. Perform data optimization. Experience with upgrades, troubleshooting, capacity planning, security issues and replication. Apply patches. Senior Level or DBAs with development experience will have written stored procedures, triggers and functions, and will have experience defragmenting the database. Work with small Databases within client to strategically design plan for the future of those databases.
Requirements
The candidate must have:
* DBA experience on Oracle 9i and 10g, RAC experience
* Experience in a datawarehouse environment
* Database Performance Monitoring and Tuning
* Maintain and improve high availability and disaster recovery (RMAN)
* Very strong hands on technical and communication skills.
* PL/SQL development and experience tuning queries
* Experience working in both OLTP and Data warehouse environments.
* The ability to create real time reports using PL/SQL in an OLTP environment
* Excellent customer service skills
* Excellent communication skills
