Major Insurance company located in NYC is seeking to add onto staff an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst with 4 - 10+ years of experience with planning and implementing health plan applications which focus on claims and/or medical management. Knowledge of major health care systems (including claims, broker, group, authorizations, eligibility, provider, etc.) and issues; medical terminology and PPO/managed care concepts is an absolute MUST. The ideal candidate will be well versed in process modeling, financial analysis, business value analysis and knowledge process design. Additionally, knowledge of SDLC processes, e-Business concepts and Web based systems is strongly preferred. Ideal candidates will also possess an advanced degree and/or familiarity with PMI, PMBOK Methodology as well as knowledge of ITIL framework with Siebel experience an added plus. Responsibilities will include needs analysis regarding business processes and functionality; handling work product validation and quality assurance; assisting in determining business goals and formulating related strategies; evaluation of business models data, systems requirements; creation of advanced systems documentation as well as management of systems changes and maintenance and updating of systems documentation; enforcement of change management processes policies and procedures AND sharing information between multiple mangers and groups while facilitating inter-departmental communication and knowledge transfer where applicable. Prior Project and/or people management experience very helpful.
