Prestigious Brokerage Company located in the New York City area is seeking a VC++ Developer/Tester for a 12 month contract. The candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation and support of Derivative Settlements Management system used by our global users across derivative business areas. The role requires strong technical and analytical skills, the ability to learn quickly and to adapt to the changing business requirements. It also requires strong communications skills because heavy user interactions and team collaborations are expected. They already have a product in mind called Fitnesse that they want to use for one aspect of the testing and it requires a good working knowledge of Java & basic Sql to operate. However, since the code is written in C++ with some Java, there will be a need for someone who understands C++ well.
Requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES: -Enhance existing system to accommodate new business requirements and improve system reliability and performance.-Develop and support suites and tools for automated regression testing-Provide work estimates; create and maintain project plans. -Design and develop new solutions/functionality for the business based on the specification -Production support. -QA/UAT environment setup and support. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: -Visual C++/ C++ -COM/DCOM/.NET -RDBMS/SQL (Sybase)-Java/J2EE a plus-Exposure to any Performance/Regression Test Suite - a plus
