VOIP Network Engineer in New York, NY

Fortune 500 Financial Firm located in NYC is seeking to add onto staff an experienced VOIP Network Engineer to assist in designing and developing a major VOIP systems initiative set to launch in early 2006. The ideal candidate must be proficient with design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and monitoring of Core LAN/WAN services. They must also be comfortable with the design, provisioning and troubleshooting of WAN technologies including T1/T3 circuits, Frame Relay, HDLC, PPP and ISDN PRI/BRI. Must also be able to configure voice services on Cisco LAN/WAN hardware including 17xx, 26xx, 35xx, 45xx, 65xx. Will assist in the implementation and operation as well as perform capacity planning and systems engineering for all enterprise IP Telephony applications and associated network infrastructure including Cisco Intelligent Contact Manager (ICM), Cisco Unity Voicemail and E911. Will administer VOIP ICM, Unity and E911 telecommunications systems including design, installation, configuration and support. Will coordinate and manage Cisco IP Telephony installations and migrations and must have a thorough understanding of IP concepts including routing, VLAN's, QoS, tuning and capacity management concepts. Advanced Cisco Certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CCDA or any Cisco related VOIP certifications are all highly prized.
