Access, Excel Associate Buyer/understanding of procurement / ERP (e.g.

Requirements:

Rresponsible for supporting the development and execution of standardized strategic sourcing processes and strategies for assigned major/minor categories, and is accountable for value added, cost savings, and other performance metrics. In addition, you will be responsible for the following: ? Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal customers. ? Build and maintain strong working relationships with key preferred suppliers, and monitor and continually improve suppliers' performance. ? Ensuring materials, equipment, and supplies availability by tracking and expediting delivery. ? Resolving discrepancies by comparing purchase order to delivery documentation; obtaining credits and refunds. ? Maintaining historical records by filing and retrieving purchasing documents. ? Improving quality results by analyzing materials, equipment, supplies, and supplier reliability; recommending changes. ? Assisting in the development and execution of standardized strategic sourcing processes and strategies for assigned minor categories, and is accountable for value added, cost savings, and other performance metrics. ? Obtaining quotes from suppliers analyze and evaluate comparative results, and place orders for acquisitions within authority limit. ? Working with ?category owners? to source goods / services above authority limit, utilizing the standardized strategic sourcing processes. ? Establishing and maintaining regular communication with internal customers; advise of changes in orders (e.g., availability and ship dates). ? Responding to suppliers? questions, and troubleshoot and resolve suppliers? issues to successful completion in a timely manner; assist in the evaluation of supplier responses and in the development of TCO models. ? Assisting in the maintenance of supplier orders and monitoring and reporting of suppliers? performance. ? Completing other activities and projects as assigned by Supervisor. ? Developing, recommending and implementing programs to enhance working relationships and communication processes to ensure achievement of leading practice procurement objectives. Share leading practices and lessons learned, use consistent methodologies, and pursue deliverables that are aligned with corporate strategic objectives. ? Analyzing spend data as directed by the Supervisor Qualifications Bachelor's degree and Certifications a plus demonstrated analysis and problem solving ability; experience in project management, data management, and internal customer relationship management; strong personal computing experience, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access applications; understanding of procurement / ERP (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Peoplesoft) technologies.
