I. Summary of position:



Provides centralized computer security administrative support for all assigned data centers. Provides decentralized security administrative support, as required.



II. Principal Accountabilities



1. Provide management with information and assistance in the planning, development and implementation of computer security solutions.



2. Document and maintain internal procedures to support the information security function.



3. Investigate, recommend, and implement solutions to computer security incidents and problems.



4. Provide procedures and training to immediately resolve computer security problems. Recommend changes to internal procedures to reduce problem calls and enhance security awareness.



5. Provide security training, standards, guidelines, security implementation support, and problem resolution assistance.



6. Provide senior administrative support functions necessary to administer complex security systems by performing security reviews/risk assessments of new technologies/products and recommends related controls.



7. Direct and provide support activities of complex security systems and tools, i.e. firewalls, ACF2, intrusion detection, penetration testing software.



8. Provide after hour and weekend support as required.



9. Represent Information Security in corporate business continuity and disaster recovery efforts.



10. Provide cross-functional support responsibilities for career path positions.



11. Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events.



12. Complete other related duties as assigned, support the Company’s Diversity programs. Experience: III. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

This position requires an individual with:

* A Bachelor?s degree equivalent experience in business, computer science or related field and six years progressive data processing experience with a minimum of four years experience working with diverse security products.

* Above average knowledge of centralized and distributed, OS/390, PCs, HP, SUN, Aix RS/6000, Novell, Dial-up security products, etc.) as well as strong written and verbal skills required.
