At this time we are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer that has experience engineering large imaging archival systems that will be based on a UNIX/Solaris platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for making hardware recommendations in support of multiple imaging archival systems implementations, as well as for installing, configuring, customizing and deploying these systems. A strong background in Storage Management, Veritas Cluster Manager, Solaris, Unix Scripting and Oracle databases is highly desired.

Overall responsibilities will include:
. Qualify and validate hardware platforms and system integration procedures crucial to the sales, project deployment and post-sales service for the $150M Healthcare Information Systems business. Deliver HIPPA compliant configuration specifications, qualification documents, performance metrics, and service procedures.
. Provide engineering leadership for deploying the integrated Distributed Architecture of PACS, RIS, and a long-term archival solution.
. Provide PACS business continuity solutions including UNIX Solaris/Windows platform clustering, EMC/IBM RAID storage technologies, SAN/NAS, Wintel, Trunking, VMWare, Firewall, and Load Balancer in medical networking environment.
. Install, configure and upgrade Unix Solaris/Veritas cluster server with medical PACS system, and Wintel Windows 2003 clustering RIS server.
. Install EMC, IBM and Promise iSCSI RAID storage, HBA, disk allocation and LUN masking, FC switches zoning, Foundry Network load balancer, Cisco PIX and VMWare virtual servers. Install and configure Oracle 9i, SQL database server with medical PACS/RIS application systems.
. Monitor and manage logical volume database of Oracle and SQL*Plus. Perform system data backup and restore dealing with storage online nearline and offline with DICOM modalities. Configure LDAP with Active Directory. Integrate Distributed Architecture of PACS/RIS systems.
Experience: BS/MS degree in IT, IS, MIS, EE
* 5-7+ years of Unix / Solaris systems engineering experience
* 3-5 years of Clustering experience, preferably with the Veritas suite of products
* 1-2 years of EMC storage management experience
* Experience in the installation of Oracle 9i is big plus
* Experience in developing systems to support the archival and retrieval of medical images is highly desired
* Experience in the deployment of integrated distributed architectures in support of PACS & RIS is highly sought in this role.
