Required Skills: Windows Scripting Host/C#/SQL/XML is required The Systems Administration Generalist serves as a member of a team that is responsible for all platforms related system design, maintenance, and operational support. This is a hands-on position where the Systems Administrator will be expected to leverage their knowledge of the Microsoft operating systems (XP, Win2K Server and Windows 2003 Server) as well as their general systems knowledge to integrate and support various solutions for the environment. Generally, they will be involved in the design, development, maintenance and support activities of the server, mobile, and desktop platforms. More specific duties include: * Developing and deploying new releases of the operating systems to the various hardware platforms. * Installing and configuring enhancements or new software products. * Scripting to seamlessly integrate various tools and technologies. * Packaging and testing software for release onto the various platforms. * Monitoring and managing the server ?health?. * Planning and organizing rollouts of operating systems releases within the environment. * Communicating to and interacting with the global counterparts to ensure that we have a consistently integrated platform globally. * Troubleshooting and solving platforms problems that are escalated from various global counterparts. * Working with the security team to ensure that all compliance and risk related issues are promptly addressed. * Delivering quality integrated solutions to a predicted timeline and budget. * Liaising with hardware and software vendors in order to communicate requirements and problems Qualifications: * Programming / Tools: Should have very good, hands-on scripting experience in one or all of the following: VB, Windows Scripting Host, C#, SQL, XML.
