Provides technical leadership to create and deliver Business Intelligence (BI) capability within HSBC Bank USA, N.A., to include both operational and analytical reporting of key business drivers and performance indicator monitoring.



Additionally, this position is also responsible for:



- Managing the usage, enhancement, and development of the marketing and reporting database/datamarts to ensure accurate customer information exists within our customer database to monitor, identify, and enhance new sales and revenue opportunities.



- Identifying and developing business-identified data source retrieval for the build and tracking of key performance indicators within new reporting datamarts.



- Developing, coding, and testing business logic to define and deliver concise and consolidated bank-wide sales / performance management reporting based upon the integration of multiple and diverse data system applications.



- Serving as an internal business and database consultant to HSBC Bank USA, N.A. business units.



- Supporting line business units by providing pertinent performance and marketing-related information, including cross-sell tracking, retention, and tracking of relationship managed portfolios.



- Providing direction in implementing planned and unplanned changes to customer and reporting databases. Experience: This position requires:

- Minimum of seven years proven and progressive business, reporting, and/or database management experience or equivalent, including campaign, decision technology, and sales tracking.

- Minimum of a bachelors degree in marketing, business, statistics, related field or equivalent experience.

- Advanced proficiency and experience with query and knowledge-based software to include SAS, SPSS, SQL, and industry standard reporting tools (Business Objects, Cognos).

- In-depth knowledge of database development and testing, including data hierarchy, data infrastructure, and ETL methodology to support development of reporting datamarts.

- Strong communications and consulting skills, analytical, organizational, interpersonal and decision-making skills.

- High level of proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages or equivalent, including experience in handling large databases.

- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical and project management skills.

- Ability to advocate and champion new business processes and re-engineer existing practices.

- Supervisory / managerial skills preferred.
