Business Analyst for Global Hedge Fund! in New York, NY

Our client is a global Hedge Fund and they are seeking a Business Analyst who can support and optimize their existing Fund Accounting System. Key Objectives: - To provide direct support of the Funds accounting system for the Funds accounting and operations groups. Main Duties: - Support and optimize existing fund accounting system. Skills & Experience: - BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent. - Working knowledge of VB and VBA. - Experience in SQL. - Experience building financial reports in excel. - 4-7 years experience in a similar role with another financial services organization. - Experience supporting a fund accounting or trading operations group for a multi-strategy hedge fund. - 3+ years of experience with VPM, Advent Geneva, Charles River or some equivalent. - Knowledge of STP, Straight Through Process, methodologies for various trading strategies. - Knowledge of Financial Securities such as Options, Futures, Bonds, and Structured Products (CDS, ABS, CDO). - Good analytical skills. - Strong written skills. - Strong oral communication skills. - Well organized. - Good at multi-tasking.
